With Keynote Speaker The Rev. Dr. Peter Steinke Rev. Dr. Steinke received his D. Rel. degree from Chicago Theological Seminary, after earning a Master’s Degree in Education from the Presbyterian School of Christian Education. He began his ministry as the pastor of Hope Lutheran Church in Friendswood, Texas, and also worked as the Director of Clergy Care at Lutheran Social Service of South Austin, Texas. He is a consultant to churches and is often called upon as a guest lecturer in areas of pastoral care and church health. He has consulted with the Presiding Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and has written many books, including Right, Wrong, or What; Whose Who; With Eyes Wide Open; Preaching The Theology of the Cross; Dealing with Your Discontent; How Your Church Family Works; Healthy Congregations and Congregational Leadership at Anxious Times.
